Absolutely. Expectant parents are encouraged to enquire during pregnancy so availability can be discussed around your estimated due date.

When does Motherwell provide support?

Motherwell specialises in the fourth trimester and early postnatal period. The exact support window is tailored to your family and service package, with the first month as the core focus.

No. Motherwell complements NHS maternity, primary care and emergency services. Urgent or emergency concerns must always be directed to the appropriate NHS service.

Is every visit the same?

No. Every visit is tailored to you and your family, based on your recovery, feeding journey, wellbeing, goals and any concerns you bring to us.

Do you support all feeding choices?

Yes. Motherwell provides evidence-based, non-judgemental support for breastfeeding, expressing, combination feeding and formula feeding. Our role is to support informed choices and safe, confident feeding whatever that looks like for you.

Do you only support Caesarean births?

No. Motherwell supports mothers after vaginal, assisted and Caesarean births, as well as a range of planned and unplanned birth experiences.
